i want to replace my tranny fluid. but i dont know what to get..i read in other forums people using "redline Shockproof heavy " they say is really good when u have lot of torque. others" redline mt-90"
i was gonna get MT-90 ... but i want to see some opinions from you guys plz! and also i will like to know how many quarts i gotta get for sr20det ?

i didnt change my tranny fluid.. thats why i want to do it.. my tranny is hard to shift when is cold..and i think it has some autoparts fluid in it. that's what the previous owner told me.

mt90 shifts great. But has little protection against clutch kicks and extreme trq. shockproof has great protection but shifts poorly. Some people mix it 1 qt mt 90 1 shockproof. and btw 2 qts is all you need. In my experience iv found that cheapo 75-90 was the best in between.

I put some cheapo Valvoline this time around after using Royal purple with half bottle of their Syncro Max... drives fine so far

i had valvoline..and i dont like how it feels. im gonna try mt-90 . lets see if i feel some difference.

i've always used mt-90 and works great. sweet, soft shifts and more for daily driving though

if your going to be getting on that transmission (Racing, Drifting, etc) then i recommend Redline shock proof oil either 75W140 or 75W250.
i've used the 75w140 on my old cressida/240 and no problems whatsoever

mmm.. i mean.. i have a heavy foot. lol. allways steping on the gas and burning clutch...my car is making 350whp and 381 of torque..should i go with shockproof then ?

It all comes down to driveline shock do you clutch kick hard? if not mt 90 shifts like butter. If you clutchkick with 205 tires it doesnt matter, if you kick with 255-and up then you might eventually blow up gears. I blew 10 sr/ka trans inthe last year and a half, hence why i stopped using mt90.

bro im using my friend wheels " 18x7.5 with 265 rear and 235 front" lmao. i know. crazy but he got those wheels with like 80% thread left for FREE!! and he put them there.anyways. i'll be getting some 18x9.5 wheels in the next 2 months..i clutch kick hard sometimes..but my car is a DD and i bit the shhiit out of it too. thats why i dont know what to get!

better safe then sorry, go with the high/med shockproof stuff. if not you could go through what bill did lol. if your that undecided, pick any one and use it... if u don't like it... switch it up again.

*try 75w140, if its not to your liking go higher or lower. (starting in the middle will probably be your best bet)
