If the starter is running when you turn the key to the start position but it is not catching the flywheel most likely its because the bendix drive is stuck. The bendix drive is that little gear that flys out and catches on the flywheel to turn the engine over.
The engine started fine before right? and all of the sudden now it dosent want to start?
replace starter.
