What's it worth

I'm THINKING about selling my car/engine/ect and am curious as to what you guys think it would be worth. I know this is the land of penny pinchers so I'm trying to figure out if my guesstimates are realistic.

The car as a whole:
Sub-standard black painted 1989 S13 coupe' (bleh)- stitch welded engine bay - stripped shell - YES TITLED
Version Select Version II body kit (seen better days - simple fiberglass repair would make it like new)
Kouki lights and H4 headlamps
Miles: unknown - just over or shy of 100k I think

Engine: 1998 S13 SR20det (blacktop) - purchased w/ 16k kilo - current miles = ??? (I'd guess around 60k), oil changed every 3k w/ 20w50 mobil full syn, K&N filter each time, new water pump
- Head: (all work done roughly 10k ago):
-JWT C1 cams
-Comp springs
-Crower Titanium retainers
-JWT valve guides
-3 angle valve job
-Greddy RAS
-ARP head studs
-Cometic stock compression headgasket
-Bottom end:
-Stock (no leaks or anything)
-Bolt ons:
-Greddy RSPL FMIC (seen better days, pipes could use a polish)
-Greddy Oil filter relocation kit
-Greddy 02 extension
-Greddy Downpipe
-Dirty, ugly Greddy air filter (was once yellow...now yellow - ish even though I clean it)
-Apexi GT Spec 3.5" exhaust (one peice, almost brand new, discontinued model due to shipping price)
-Heavy Throttle hotpipe
-Koyo SR aluminum radiator
-Nismo Thermostat
-Nismo Rad cap
-Nismo Motor mounts
-New NGK iridium plugs, one step colder
-Turbo: stock - no leaks, sounds, or smoke
-Ignition: stock
-Electronics:
-Greddy Profec B spec-II boost controllor (I don't run high boost often at all - set to 11ish psi)
-Greddy 52mm electronic boost gauge
-Interior:
-Bride knock off seat - fading - custom seat rails
-S15 passanger seat
-90% complete chromoly roll cage (never put in side bars since windows are roll up and the car was my
daily) - yes, it's painted pink but i should be repainting the interior soon
-worn to hell sparco wheel and momo hub
-JDM guague cluster (odometer no longer works)
-Suspension/brakes/wheels:
-BRAND NEW (not even installed yet) KTS Beta2 coilovers
-SPL tension rods
-SPL RUCA
-SPL Traction rods
-SPL Toe rods
-Whiteline bushings in FLCA's (new ball joints purchased w/ 5 lug conversion)
-5 luggin it (S15 spindle, S15 hubs, z32 rear hubs)
-Z32 30mm aluminum calipers (front)
-New crossdrilled/slotted rotors
-Hawk HP+ pads all around (dusty and noisy - fronts might need replacement)
-SS brake lines
-Z32 1 1/16" Brake master (motul 600 fluid)
-5zigen FN01RC 17x8 +25 and 17x9 +35 Bronze (but so dirty you can't clean them) - crap
-Infinity G35 17" beater wheels
-Tein inner and outer tie rods
-Hicas fast steering rack (leaks ps fluid) w/ Energy Suspension bushings
-Driveline:
-Transmission is a little borked (5th gear syncro bad and main shaft bearing makes noise - always has)
-Spare, good SR tranny
-Fidanza aluminum flywheel
-Soon to go bad Spec stage 3 clutch
-Redline fluid on tranny and diff
-S15 helical diff and JDM beefcake axles

I think that's everything. I might part out but if I do, the motor set is going as a whole (sans some bolt ons). Also, I might install a new clutch, flywheel plate, and the transmission before I sell.

Basically, the car needs 3 things to be a jaw dropper and 1 thing to be a VERY competitive drift car:
1. Paint and minor body work (not one big dent)
2. Some decent looking wheels
3. Some interior work (for the picky)
4. Cluth type diff (the s15 vlsd locks like a mother f*cker but is 1way only)

I never installed my new turbo, intake mani, exhaust mani, ect...they're still sitting on the floor of my room, brand spanking new. Obviously I've given this car some abuse so don't expect a some little girl's show car. It was built to be driven and driven it was. I've never had one problem with the engine other than the head gasket blowing (stock paper) and when that happened, I had the head inspected at a very good machine shop and they said the valves weren't sealing well and I needed new guides - which is why I built it up. The car's only seen 2 drift events since the rebuild (sadly). It's been sitting in my garage for a while now (occasional start ups of course).

So, what do you guys think it's worth - The motor set? The car as a whole? DeVain?

tony mac, if you decide to sell it, would you sell the body kit separatelly.????

Definitely.

I left out the carbon fiber hood too btw...oem style with the E30 bmw style flare towards the windshield.

8-9k if the body work was done maybe 12-14k

You really think so? I've been contemplating charging up some decent body work but wasn't sure if it would increase value that much.

Yes because what will drive the price that high is a completed project... I can just picture the rich brat now when he sees the ad "MOMMMMM BUY ME THIS!!" his mom will slap him upside the head if she sees a primer black 240...

Well it's not primered. It's a single stage gloss black that was sprayed in a dirty shop so the amt of sanding required to get the crap out made the paint really thin and dull-ish looking. It's a good base for another coat and some clear though! I definitely see your point though. Good call.

I might try the rustoleum thingy this july when I have a free garage for a month. :)

That's before I had the body kit fitting well and in need of a warsh.

the car itself is hot as hell, i see it in the upwards of 9-12k seeing how there is people selling SOHC coupes for 3200, plus your car was well built.

e30 ftw!!!

I also think it's worth atleast 9-12k especialy when the Gay and the furious south beach drift come's out LOL. I say put it up for sale the day that movie come's out. Good luck selling it, im sure it will go super quick. On a side note if you do part it out, I WANT YOU'RE SUSPENSION PARTS ALL OF THEM, and if I can custom fit you're rollcage in my car, I WANT THAT TOO MUHAHAHAHAHA!!!:D

Wait till Tokyo Drift comes out. Then you can sell it for 20k. Make sure to title it:

*Fast & Furious D1-Spec Drift Car*

For description, you can write:

Want to drift like the pros you see in the magazines? This car will make you drift like one. All you have to do is get in and the car will drift itself to victory! You too can be a drift king with this car.

Even better, Google search Tsuchiya's signature. Then get the image, photoshop it, print it, then glue it to your car. Then you can say the car was signed by Tsuchiya himself!

;) :D

Its very hard to get even 50% investment back from your project.

dont part it out, find someone to take the whole thing.

dont sell your car, you have put alot of effort into it and is very fun to drive and run at the track

im sure you are looking to get wayyy more then what people have suggested so far. i know i would if i were in your shoes.

$10k minimum (and thats really lowballing)

not to many people will be willing to dish out $20k for it, but maybe if your lucky you can find someone who will.
