Wheel Spacers

I sort of started this topic on another thread unrelated to this issue. It is not fair to the other person who started that thread so I decided to move this whole issue into this new thread. They mentioned a bunch of good shit about wheel spacers there and I became curious in researching what would be the best set of spacers for my Zenki. Please keep in mind this is for a daily driver, and temporarily, non-drifting vehicle with a stock KA. Right now, I am here only as an spectator but will turn to drifter once I can I afford it. Firstly, What is better: bolt-on spacers or the ones which studs have to be replaced for longer ones? Are bolt-on's really safe? How many LBS of pressure from torque wrench should be applied when installing bolt-on’s? What about them being hub centric? Sometimes spacers are not true hub centric and leave you with too much tire vibration aside from proper tire balancing. I want to avoid this vibrating inconvenience as much as I can. Any brand to go for in particular? What price do they usually go for?

My current wheel specs are:
Front - 235/40/18 7.5 wide and Rear - 275/35/18 9.5 wide

What would best spacer for this whip? I have the already very infamous in these forums Sportmax 962's. Maybe someone out there knows what the offsets are for these wheels. I don't really know and I can’t go check myself right now on the actual wheels because I just had tonsil surgery two days ago and I cant leave the house. Here some pics though. Maybe they help for now. This is where I am at. I already have 10 MM Eibach spacers non bolt-on's in the front only. Thanks in advanced for all your help on this matter!

MESSING AROUND WITH MICROSOFT PAINT, LOL!

I would really to get my car to look more less like the following two cars or somewhere in between, offset-wise:

To whoever the following car belongs to, I apologize for using ur whip as an example. It looks really good and, offset-wise, it is pretty close to where i would like to be at!

dude like 5 more mm in the front and like 5mm in the back but then you will have to get smaller tires and a pull in the rear

no im talking about a slight fender roll and pull so the tires wont rub while your going down the road that black coupe has a slight fender pull, if you notice its not straight. if you want that type of fitment then thats what you are gonna have to do

Oh I see what you mean but the red one doesnt have pull and it is still good for me! What do you think? Thanks!

So you think 5 mm more all around will do it? No need for these big ass bolt ons?

well the red one is got like a drag setup in the rear its not as low as your car is. so at your height you would need a pull because when you hit bumps your suspension moves and you are going to cut into your tires not a good thing.

What you are saying makes sense. Thanks for all this good stuff! I hope to count on you if I need more input! by the way what do you ride? Have any pics? If I need help carrying this out, would you mind helping me out? I would appreciate it! I realize you are far though but whenever you come down here. I see that someone here rents that fender pulling tool! Well, NE-way thanx again!

Your gonna need between 8 and 10 in front and about 5 in the rear. With the rear you will not need longer studs. I reccomend Nismo Studs and spacers from WheelAdapter.com

Make sure to get hubcentric and wheelcentric spacers to avoid wheel shake.

Roll the rears and you should be okay. Maybe, a little negative camber but a pull for such a mild offset change will not be needed. Up front just raise it a bit or run some negative camber. Changing tire size is also an option but that's up to you.

The green coupe you pictured belongs to my buddy Gaston aka Yuca as mentioned. It takes effort to get offset right. Choose your wheels wisely and don't be afraid to roll, pull, or even buy wider fenders to get the right setup going.
