i am new to the drift sceene i know how everyone meets at towers then goes down to 27 and does street racing iwas wondering is there somthing like this for drifting or just at closed course i was just wondering.

Ok, we get many of you n00bs like you here. Not that it's a bad thing to be a n00b, because everyone was a n00b at one time. I am just going to be a little guide. You never give out your spots of where you drift. We have done it before, and too many people start showing up, and eventually the cops. Just look for a safe, secluded place to drift, and hit it up for about 10 minutes tops (pushing it). Then just drive somewhere else, and let your car cool off. Not only are you doing your car a favor, but you are benefitting from this as well, because the longer you are out there, the more risks of a cop catching you there are. When you go back to your spot, make sure no one is around, and practice a little more. Then leave. If you have a friend out with a 2 way radio, it will be much better, since he can tell you if someone is coming and what not. Make sure you don't drive past your limits.

Now, a smarter choice is to pay up, and register for events. Safer, easier to learn your car, and most important of all....LEGAL. Most people are always willing to help you by giving you tips and advice.

If you want to set up your car for drifting, the most important parts are LSD, suspension, and tires. You will like to get some coilovers and a good pair of grippy tires for the front, and junker tires in the back (atleast for now). Don't drift on your daily driving tires. Make sure your car is always in shape, and remember.... Drifting = money.

Go out there, and have fun man.
