Well, I think I found the right 240sx... Its an 89', but its CL34/|/. The asking price is 1695.... I jumped on it like flys on JDM ****. Already had my dad look at it; and it passed the inspection. I think it is going to be mine in the very near future.... BTW- Bone stock. And Automatic tranny. :( I don't give a **** though, I would rather have an auto at this point. My drift dreams are just about diminished.

Rushing things are not the right way to go. You are buying a single cam, auto, open diff 240sx. The amount of money and hassle you will have to deal with to get that thing sideways and to get to a better level is stupid.

I'm saying to wait it out, save some more money, get a better car.

Good luck

I sell my 92 with 96 motor, stock suspension and welded diff. Ill take $2200 firm. Needs paint.

Pics in my For Sale thread. But minus all the goodies.

I agree with RWDrift Rex... Wait it out... The SOHC can get sideways, sure, but a twin cam is better for it. Has more power plus what you'll pay to get your automatic to a manual will make you a $2000 SOHC with a 5spd tranny. Your still going to need a LSD, and once again, a DOHC would be preferable. Wait it out. Trust me, its not that hard, just try not to think about it much. When you least expect it your peferect drift car will pop up. Just be patient.

Hey don't diss the SOHC the DOHC has a measly 10HP more stock :p Anyway the SOHC has better compression for a turbo stock then the DOHC does. (to bad manifolds are few and far between...)

Anyway don't get an autotragic transmission it's just not worth it.

i had the sohc i know wut it can do, its not bad to start ...but rex....u..le sux

yup....dont get it....for the simple fact that its an auto-tranny. thats gonna set you back....there are plenty of other stick-shift 240's out there to grab up...

if your considering drifting, dont get an automatic ive told you this how many other times? or you can live and learn....

its truly horrible, plus a 89' automatic probably isnt going to be shifting hard either. so being able to upshift during drift or to initiate is next to impossible. maybe get this for cheap and seriously have intentions of putting an sr in it?

-good luck.

shoulda bought my car lol i sold it for 1300.00 and that thing was d1 drift spec all it needed was a new windshield

anyway, if you're going to drift it, goodluck.. and to the guy saying the measily 10hp difference, it's not about the power, its about how the motor responds, it's a totally different setup, though the sohc is probably 100000x more reliable IMO. it likes boost better, but who turbo's a KA anyway? cmon its all about the JDM SRawrz! Automatic SOHC = Revs as fast as a bulldozer.. it's good for transportation but don't even attempt to drift it, especially if it has high mileage, you don't want to jump the timing on those craps or you'll be sending it to the ER for a new heart
