white smoke coming from exhaust

i have alot of smoke coming from my exhaust its white im afraid it might b my head gasket i replaced my spark plugs about three months back and am going to do an oil change this weekend is there nething else neone can think of bfor i do this headgasket :ugh:
 
white is coolant so possible head gasket
take the heads to a machine shop before you put it together again might as well do all the seals, thermostat, head studs, and all timing components. :D
 
ya compression test ? cant that b a number of things though please remember its a ka and my daily plus time r tough so i just wana do it cheap and to the point ya know
 
thanks ya i was think new motor but ya never no if it has probs i think ima just bite the bullet n do the headgasket and not do the machine shop heads or studs or nething like that

dude i totally feel ya... if its fucked it would be cheaper to swap the motor and call it a day. then when you ever get moneys build the other one and you wont have much down time.
 
not taking it to get machined you might risk blowing the gasket again in no time, remember aluminum heads and cast iron block expand at different rates since they are not the same element.

:laugh: haha thats one of the stupidest things ive ever heard

so your going to pull the head and replace the headgasket and not the headstuds or get the head checked out?

Go do it, but when you blow another headgasket due to a warped head and stretched stock headstuds dont post about it because your going to get flamed really bad.

A KA is what, like 200-300? Just buy another damn motor and stop being such a cheap ass.

your going to want to shoot your self for half assing the car and having to dump even more money into it later. Why do work twice
 
ya i was just lookin on y to do those thing but i guess u just answered that it does make sense i dont wana buy another motor if i do those thing my motor would b reliable as hell right
 
no it would just have a new headgasket and thats it... prolly more prone to popping it again just cuz u changed it....

sell the motor get another.... ill give you 80 bux right now
 
if ur motor got really hot there is a GOOD chance u warped ur head.. replacing the headgasket wont do anything except cost u money and headaches... its a KA so just go get a used one for a few hundred bux and swap it out...its going to cost u more to repair the head, replace the gaskets, and studs ( the right way).
 
i got a good head if urs is dohc ill let it go for 60 n ill even give u the intake manifold n exhaust manifold

al ur gonna need is the gaskets i have a head gasket but i dont think its good

1. take it to a machine shop
2. tell them the headgasket blew and you need to get it decked
2.5 They will check it and resurface it. They will know how far out it is and if you can use it again.
3. Go to Advanced autparts and get new valve seals.
4. Tell the machine shop to put them in.
5. Get ARP head studs.
6. get a cometic headgasket.
7. put it together.


do it that way or its gonna suck.
