Well, most of you may know that I have had a Toyota Celica Supra for about 3 years now...and I have yet to do DICK to it...partly because of money issues...well, today everything changed.
In late 2005 Florida was smashed with hurricanes, Hurricane Wilma gave the keys a royal beat down. I managed to save the Supra from the flood, The Camry was not so lucky
Well, after the storm I moved the car to my dads other house and there it sat, almost forgotten for damn near 2 years. The tenant that rents the house out offered to buy it off of me...and I said...."Not even for $10,000. Id never sell it, and that car will be mine till the day I die." Well, Im guessing she didn't like that too much and started to bitch about the car being on the property....that we own....so fuck it, time to move.
I brought a battery over, dropped it in, wired it up, turned the key. Two cranks and Vroooom...my bitch roared to life....then it sputtered and died. I looked at my dad, he looked at me, we both smiled and I keyed it again....two cranks Vrooom.....die. I said, "I can't believe it...its been what...two year and this bitch cranks on the first try"....So I keyed it again and gave it a couple of shots of gas....it shook and sputtered, then leveled out at 3k and just hummed. After the temp rose a little bit, I kept giving it shots of gas....as smooth as it was the day I left it there and forgot her. I popped it into first gear (trans is utterly fucked) drove it out on the street and down to the mechanics shop. For a car thats been rotting away for 2 years...wow. A few weeks and this car will be up and running and back home where she belongs. 3 long years, and my dream car is returning to the streets.
