pretty much the title. I know that its lightweight, cheap, and rear drive. they are kinda cool looking but idk maybe its just me.

Dude, you gotta realize, besides being cheap, the aftermarket support is just as big as a Civic. Also, the car is really easy to learn to drift on, and not everyone can afford to slide a Z.

you already answered your own question
and they are easy to upgrade

so if your too scared to slide the z then get a 240

I think 240's are a trend because like other members are explaning. It's not only inexpensive to modified them, but also they have a lot of aftermarket support. Just that alone makes the driver feel like he can do what ever he wants with his 240, and still be different than the rest of them out there.

because all the ricers saw F&F Tokoyo drift and decided hondas aren't cool and 240's are.... as far as im concerned, the 240 is the new honda.

I hate to admit this, but the fc3s is the new 240... There is a shit load of kids buying them ricing them the fuck out, and wrecking them because they think they are the DK... Its turned into just as much a fanboy car as any honda ever was.

I remember a few years ago when I had my first FC, there wasnt many around and when there was one it was fucking CLEAN.. Now its multi colored ones just like 240s EVERYWHERE...

And the question about 240s has already been answered, cheap, light, easy to modify, and a plethora of parts.

Same reason s10s are the new mini truck IMO.

cause it was God's gift to the automotive world...
cause it was one of the slowest sports car ever made in history.
