My Rigth side headlight fuse keeps going out. On the fuse box is saiys to put 20. But those only last like 5 minutes before theyre blown. Will a 25 or 30 fix this problem.
My guess it would but then again, all of your knowledge combined> Mine

Thanks Guys

sure sounds like a wiring problem to me.

if a fuse blows, then it's done it's job.

trace the wires and look for any exposed sections

I keep replacing it and it seems to be doing a quick fix but then the light goes out again. IDK im gonna have to wait till tom since its Night right now.

yea with just your basic black electrical tape.

If there is more then 2 inches of wire exposed from it rubbing on something I would cut out the exposed wire and replace it with a section soldered and heat shrunk at both ends.

I had the same problem with my car once, I forgot to cover a crimped connection with tape and it was shorting on another connection. I separated the connections, replaced the fuse and everything was great.

Do not ever put in a fuse that has a higher amp rating then what is supposed to be installed. It can start a fire.

you can do what 240sickness said or buy liquid electrical tape. Thats not what it called but that's what it is, a little metal bottle with a brush that you dip in the black liquid, brush it on the exposed areas, then hardens around the where you put. It's better than black tape. (soory about not knowing the name, but you can find it at any homedepot and such)

Putting a higher rated fuse allows more current to go through the wire allowing it to heat up(since it is obviously shorting). Like Rick said it will cause a fire.

Also do what Rick said and Cut, Solder and Heat Shrink a new section wire in. Don't use "Liquid Tape". Do it right the first time.
