Ok guys so ever since I got my s13 I've had this issue. Usually once or twice a week sometimes more she wont shut of I can take the key out and everything and she stays running. Now obviously im leaning towards an ignition cylinder but I wanted to get everyones feedback on this before I go buying a cylinder. Is there anyway to test it? Why is it intermittent? if it was the ignition wouldn't it happen all the time? And last does anyone have one laying around d they can sell me if so?

Not the ignition cylinder. But the ignition switch. Take the steering wheel plastics off. Then on the left side you'll see a quarter sized white plastic piece with like 7 wires soldered on. That those wires run maybe 8" to a plug. take the piece out there are only two screws holding it in.
Once removed take a flat screwdriver and use that to start stop the car.

I had to change mine because the white plastic part became loose from the black plastic part so when you turn the center it didn't contact the wires correctly. Causing intermittent no starts

thanks man ill check it out but the thing is a never have an issue with getting it to start its turning off that gives me the issue. i have NEVER had a problem starting it its really weird which makes me wonder if its a wiring issue but i have no clue how to even begin to test that and i dont wanna just throw an ignition at it. if anyone has any suggestions let me know please. o and p.s. i have shaved door handles so the wiring goes through the ignition wire. it may have something to do with that?
