ok well i just looked at the fill plug and the area around it, and theres no way im getting the transmission fluid in thru the fill plug

so... im fucked

im just gonna keep trying this shit with the C clip
maybe im doing somthing wrrong? is there any tricks to it?

i tryed using the flat head but i need two hands for the plyers because the lower shift boot always gets in the way, and i have no idea how to take it off without breaking it

ok so i folded the lower boot up hoping it would make it easyer, and yay i found out its ripped.... awsome

on top of that, i STILL cant for the life of me get that fucking c clip out

anyone know any tricks or ANYTHING? because ive been trying for over and hour and its just not happening

is there any way other than the c clip to get the shifter out enough for me to poor in tranny fluid?

take a small screwdriver flathead. and stick it on the side of the opening where it has lil grooves. like

[( )] <----- there on the lil square spaces on the sides. then pry it out on one side and grave any plier nedle nose pliers work best and pull the clip out.

the is 2 rings. the thick and hard one dosnt have the lil holes for your fancy plier. so just man up and pry it out with a screw driver....

ok do this, put the pliers on the snap ring, push the side opposite the holes into the groove
now with a flat head in hand compress the ring and pry one of the egdes up, once u get an edge out of the groove u can work it out carfully
