Ive got an 05 Mazda 3 and i just got new tires, had all 4 tires balanced twice, have a brand new alignment, however between like 60 and 65 my car is shaking, its not horrible but its annoying. its more the whole car shaking than just my steering wheel. what do you guys think it could be. yes, i have a warranty but there is a $100 deductable which doesnt bother me, but i kinda dont want my car out of commision for any period of time that i dont have control over ya know. any help is appreciated

happened before or after the alignment/balancing?

In any case, it could be suspension related [rack? rods? bearing?] or a defective tire/bad balancing.. Don't think a rotor would cause it to shake at 60+

Rotate the tires n see if then u feel it on the steering wheel

Do u know for a fact that the guy that balanced them knows what he's doing??

Wat kind of tires r they?? Brand name or cheapo tires??

Check ur inner n outer tie rods to see if the have any play

Let me know wat it was when u figure it out I'm interested to know if I was right

lol want to name anything else?

dont forget tire pressure

Alignments dont cause vibrations.

You probably have a bad balljoint, bushing, tire, or wheel. Do what alibaba said.

if you feel it in the seat, and not so much in the steering wheel, its coming from the rear. my guess is its a rear tire. Forget the fact that you just got them balanced, maybe you got some noob that doesnt quite know how to balance yet...

bent rim, worn cv shaft. Was it there before or just after you got new tires? Maybe theres a tire that wasnt made right.

60-65 is usually the speed ive felt from bad balance, bent wheel, or seperated tire (bad tire). sometimes, rarely, a new tire is manufactured flawed and will never balance right.

besides that the tire tech could have realized something was odd and just said fkk it and let you have it lol. if there is more than one weight location on each wheel, there is something wrong with it and the guy tried to cover it up.

have you tried going like 70-75? does it smooth back out?

i got new tires on the back of my 240 once and when i left my car felt like death took it back to the tire place and the guy fucked up the inside of the sidewall when he mounted the tire. The dudes been mounting them for 20+ years everyone has off days

its been shaking since before the new tires, however i did only replace the fronts. the rears have been on there. all four are falken f452's or something like that, so they arent real shitty tires. and both the dealership and the tire place around the corner balanced them, so im not sure. but its most likely not a brake rotor, its not when i brake, except when i pass those speeds lol. but its been all the way up to 125 and there was no shaking other than 60-65

a weight could have come off? or he pulled them all off when put the car up just routine thinking you were getting all 4 done, then just never rebalanced? if you had 2 weights on one wheel he coulda popped off one and forgot? i dunno, get the rears balanced seems like the obvious first step then.

seems like the rear tires are def the problem take a look and see if you can see a bubble at all in the tread (seperated tire) though you may not be able to see it. i would def try to get them balenced. tires do get unbalanced overtime or a tech just was lazy and from working at tire places i can tell you they def are and if it didnt balance right they will just throw them on the rear cuz you dont feel it as much as the front

well it was shaking and i went to a tire place around the corner and told them to balance my tires. that was it, their only job lol. there was like 1 other car there so they were slow as hell. so ill check for a bubble or split somewhere
