The better swap?

What are you planning on doing with the car? Drifting? Auto Cross? Wangan runs?

im new to the forums and im looking into getting a 240.. and this guy i know is selling his with an rb and ive looked at cars with sr's in the same condition and they run about the same price

ok since you say that your new then i will tell you this. please do a search on this. I have covered this subject once about how to build a rb20 and whatnot, and SR20 talk can be found all over the place. if it was me, i would get which ever is the cheaper of the 2, then do me the favor of telling the guy to sell me the rb and be done.

Just save yourself the headache and go with a Sr20. At the shop we are getting over 400whp on stock Sr20's with topmount turbo's and a nice engine management system.

well i agree about the cheaper thing. i would also look around and see which of the two would be less expensive to repair and find parts easier. Seeing as the sr20 was also in the US in the Sentra, I think that that would be the better choice but it you want good throttle response and ability for loads of power i would do the rb. Doesnt do your homework and ask questions that you would find important.

I would go with the SR as well. Ive heard from many ppl that RB20 parts are hard to find and can be expensive IF u find them

i got an rb20 an if i could go back in time i would have an sr, i love how my rb sounds 20 times better an i love everything about it my rb from top to bottom but its cost alot of $$$ an headaches sr is just easy, plus u will have more room under the hod rb's take up so much room is hard to work on them

if you are going to spend the $ on rb go 25 or 26, but at that point id personally rather go jz.

but i <3 my sr. going on 3 years strong now...

you will spend money and have headaches no matter what, comes down to personal preference.

honestly if your gonna daily the car do you realy need a swap? As for your question Sr its a easier swap and youll save alot of money. Or you can be like me and go v8. Damn i can't wait to finish my car.
