Maybe an O2 sensor?? not sure ima newb lol
If you are not sure or can not rationalize your response please do not reply to someones technical thread about their automobile trouble shooting. If your response sounded something like this it would be helpful....
" I took my car to a mechanic with a similar issue, the check engine light would periodically turn on and off depending on the day. The mechanic replaced the front o2 sensor and it fixed the problem. You might want investigate a faulty o2 sensor as the culprit to your problems "
even though you are a newb, you would be sharing your valuable information, not just guessing about why his check engine light comes on when ever it feels like it. I know you are young in age so im not trying to scare you into not posting, but its makes it harder for the thread starter to find quality information if 90% of the forum population guesses about his problems. Just keep it smart.
then one option is the 02censor that is glitching or you might of goten a little bit of water in the intake especially if its' a cai. If the check ingine doesn't go away then it could be water on the 02censor, just take off the censor from the intake, dry it put it back on, then disconect the bettery, wait 5 seconds, and then connect the batt. again. If that doesn't work then your 02censor is bad and needs to be changed. If not then it could be something else, but try that for now.
Understood, sorry guys, wont happen again
and sorry about the educated guess s13silviaslider
