Does anyone know how the F***, to remove the three top bolts on a ka tranny?
or suggest any kool tricks or inside knowledge?

...damn things are IMPOSSIBLE! Ive been at it for 3 hrs.

thanks.

Hmmmmm.... I have a 3 foot long extension + swivel + socket that does the trick on my FC

my brother has a friend with really small hands thats how i got the tranny out of my supra

impact on 3ft extension w\ snap on swivel 14mm. loosen engine mounts and pretty much let the transmission hang in place. Carefull you dont damage anything in the engine bay in the process of letting everything hang.

no need to loosen engine mounts just use extensions and 14mm swivel and 1/2 impact. work no problem gotta change my tranny 2morrow.

i did it yesterday theres only 1 bastard bolt above the starter but you can get it with a wrench. did u jack up the crank pully?

lol the way i do it is i just pull the entire motor and do the damn thing on the ground... then pop it back in... better than laying on you back.

fuck the 3 foot extension and get a 5 foot extension. i hate universals. they never worked for me.

A snap on swivel socket limits angle to 45 degrees so you can still apply torque to the fastener with out going around in circles. Plus they are impact safe.

Should be able to get to all of them. the only ones you'll have trouble with is the top ones right behind the motor. Theres two tricky ones. The intake manifold side should be cake.
17mm and 14mm starter bolts.

there are a couple of hoeses in the way , just force you hand to fit or go from underneath, it isn't hard, that how i've done it
