I feel obligated to rant for a moment...
With the economic structure in the United States, there will always be ups and downs in the short run of things. Its perfectly natural and to be expected. Contrary to what you might here, we are not in a recession. A recessions is marked by 2 consecutive quarters of negative GDP growth. We have a 3.x% annual GDP growth rate - not the highest in the wold but all things considered, quite excellent. One could argue however, that we are facing a "growth recession." Meaning, our economic state is improving, just not as fast as it was
x years ago.
Well, a huge reason for our economic state is you. In the United States, people spend more than they earn regularly while the savings rate for the past 6 years has been zero. Zero savings = zero growth, all things being equal. Thankfully, things like improved technology keep our country growing regardless of this
fact. And you cannot blame the US government, Bush, or anybody else for YOUR poor spending habbits. Almost every one of us enjoys luxuries we feel like we deserve or are owed to us for our hard work. Think about this; in China the PPP (peoples purchasing power) is significantly lower than ours. So are personal incomes. The Chinese people save more money per capita than Americans do. That is seriously pathetic.
So you all can scoff at Bush all you want over the economy but the sad truth is, much of the blame lies in us, as a people. Yes, the war needs to end, it was bullshit from day 1, etc etc. BUT if you want the economy to improve, you should take a good look at yourselves and your spending/financing habits first. Take some responsability for yourselves for once.
LMAO i was waiting for your response :bigthumbu
I've been heartbroken about McCain for a while. He was my 2nd least favorite Republican candidate, Ron Paul being the least favorite. Idk who to blame...the Dems for being allowed to vote in Republican primaries, seniors, or whoever...but you suck whoever you are. And just wait, once the Dem's finally have a candidate (which is taking forever: project chaos ftw), you will start to see a lot of dirt on McCain. I'm predicting that both Hillary and Obama could pwn him in a debate and I think the American people will see through his garbage.
