well i have a 89 s13 single cam and the other day i set the timing at 15 degrees and for some odd reason it started acting funny so i decied to check the timing and then now it doesnt even wanna go into timing i did all the necessary steps.. i took off the distributor and made sure everything was done and nuttin like i have no idea what to do... also my timing chain rattles and its been getting worse so i dunnoo i need some input guys on what to do.,...

The Rattle Of The Timing Chain Is That The Tensioner Isnt Working Or Guide Is Torn. Now Correct Me If Im Wrong But The Cam Sproket And Crank Sproket Have Points On Them So U Can Line Em Up Right

yea but bro that shyt doesnt get no where near 15 degrees its like at 5 with the distributor all the way... i dunno its drivin me nuts

maybe the distributor is off. I accidentally did that on my dual cam. if not o would check the sensor on the disributor

its single cam... but the distrub is where it should be like i put it all the way and it still doesnt get into timing like it doesnt

its all the way clockwise and its way off timing and when my friend was doin the timing light if i turned iot the other way and it was making the timing worse

take of cap and set motor to tdc on #1 piston. bring cap closer and see how off it is from there

that will fix ur problem and i would do it pronto. If that chain lets go you can say bye bye to the motor
