How is this a Debate? A real track vs. a parking lot. Dumbest Poll of ALL TIME!

never said it was dumb, just said that i preferred the fairgrounds. Its good entertainment well worth wat you pay. Last time i went to moroso with some buddies we got bored and left. But im really hoping they did something different cause i know alot of you rip it up at moroso

For the advanced drivers, fairgrounds isn't even close to being a challenge. The whole point of driving is for Fun and to push your self. Fairground you CANNOT push yourself. It's not about the people watching, or how it looks to spectators or any of that crap. It's about PURE DRIVING.

U CANT!!! Charge the corners with speed and try to scrub it down to make the turns and then connect it all. Ask Bill's buddy if it wasnt a challenge when he tried to make the last turn and then slammed into a wall. And dont give me that real track VS parking lot bull cause nopi themselves uses loads of them and even Formula D uses them.

dood, wtf.
hahaha.
The events arnt for you to watch, they're for the drivers to drive.

in a reply to that.... i know im new to the site and i plan on drifting, but without the spectators where would the lucrativty of drifting come from.... not sponsors for fucking sure. so without spectators there is no event there is just drivers fucking around!

whatever dood.
This still boils down to, is the drivers are paying money to go out and drive their cars and have a good time.
From the sounds of it Moroso is gonna have a bigger skid pad, so I guess its gonna be good for you to watch, and cool for the drivers to drive that or the Road course.
This is absolutley silly.

Uhhh.
Most of these events are PRACTICE events. That means its for the drivers to practice driving, not the spectators to practice watching cars do sweet stunts.

ok that makes sense. but for the real events such as nopi and such u do need spectators. thanks

well the thing with Moroso is...

IT'S WAY MORE AWESOME THAN PARKING LOT DRIFTING.

Amen brother Amen!!!!

Listen here....the drivers that drive here hard want some competition.....I am sick and tired of seeing the outsiders get better and better.....we need to make this state one legit drift state and mark our territory.

For now we are underdogs.....but soon we will rise up and smack a bitch in the face!

If you want to watch, stick to your gut instincts and don't drive if your scared....if you feel like you need more practice...hit up some more practice events cause we have done that already!

boys don't play with guns, men do!

#1 MY BOY HIT THE WALL BECAUSE HE WSNT PAYING ATTENTION HE WAS WATCHING BOOST SETTINGS LIKE A MORRON. ONLY PERSON 2 CRASH?

#2 NOPI AND FD PARKING LOT EVENTS ARE CRAZY TIGHT WITH K-RAILS AND 3-4TH GEAR ENTRYS? NOT 2ND GEAR TRACK WITH NO SIGHT OF A WALL AROUND?

#MOROSO FAILS AS A SPECTATOR TRACK BUT IS INSANE FOR DRIVERS, AND I GUESS YOU NEVER GOT A RIDE ALONG GOING INTO THE FIRST MOROSO CORNER IN HARRIS CAR DOING 80+ MPH?

I am gonna say this once, and once only. If you are a spectator, and don't plan on drifting, too fucking bad.

Harri and the rest of the Ter-Tech crew don't set up events for spectators, they set up events so drivers have a safe and legal place to drift. Reasons why they choose Moroso are easy to understand. Moroso is a set track with high speed entries, and is quite challenging versus a dinky ass parking lot. If I had a bit more power, I would have had to entered in 4th gear. 4TH GEAR!!! Where the fuck else am I going to go for that kind of action?

Moroso takes huge cojones to go balls out around that track. If you don't have the cojones, then go to the skid pad and stay sucking.

BTW, if you don't like spectating at Moroso, no one is telling you to go. It just shows how much you trully love drifting.

Wow, I'm somewhat amazed/dissapointed at the responses I see here.

First to be on topic: Moroso is a much better venue than the Fairgrounds. And I say that meaning better venue all around.

Now what I don't understand is how everyone thinks their special as if Superman was your daddy. Case in point:

"Oh without (drifters/spectators) the sport wouldn't be where its at"

Stop and think about this. Without drifters, we can obviously see that there would be no drift events. But without spectators, there would also be no drift events.

Do you think if NASCAR had no spectators, would they be able to raise the billions in capital that they do? No. Spectators are just as important to this sport than the drivers sitting in the cars.

Now again, between the Fairgrounds and Moroso, Moroso has a MUCH better venue for both drifters AND spectators. The only difficult thing for spectators is that our Turn 1 is way far out of the way. If Moroso would let us hotlap the entire track, you guys would have enough places to watch from all day.

Bitching and moaning about which track is better with your noses way high up in the air is nothing but a waste of bandwitdh. Saddle up, harden the f*ck up, and let's do this. Some people might like the Fairgrounds better.... it's their opinion. With a new Moroso track, it might be a bit different, so no one really can judge as a spectator until they have tried both.

the triangle and the warehouse pwns all those tracks...

+1. I also agree with Erick if you haven't gone out and slid in either track, then why get hyped. Thats why I don't comment on which is better.
