i thought this was interesting,
my sister just started working at a hotel and she told me that when a customer walks in to reserve a room the computer gives the recepcionist 3 or 4 different prices, and she gets to chose what price to give tthe customer depending on what the customer looks like he can afford,for example if u look like a bum ull get a better price and if u were dressed nice.

i just thought u guys might wanna know, im not sure if every hotel does this but hers definately does

mmm i thought that could happen ..is like when you use orbitz.com and check a price and then go back again they will rise the price ... :mad:
 
i believe its called wingate but im not to sure, but yea aperently if ur gonna go make a reservation in person, if u dress like a bum ull get a better rate

yeah it's true i used to work at the holiday inn, and there is a set room rate but the recptionist has a minimuin rate that he/she can give depending on if the guest is mad or if they try to haggle for a better price. only exception is when the hotel is sold out or alwmost sold out you wont get a better price
