1.5, 2.0 *Budget Diff*

so it gives the same result as a welded? just get someone to weld the diff...

r u retarted? it says budget- like as in only cost u $10, i thing its preety good for someone that cant weld and ould need someone todo it for them, which would cost more then $10

lol ill weld diffs for 20 might as well as spend the extra 10 bucks and welding takes less time

ok im confused. isnt the r200 open and the r200v the vlsd in the j30. the op in zilvia said it could be done on a r200 so was it just a typo and he left out the v or can it really be done on the open?

thats if you use 2 shims, he says if you use one, its not fully locked, just a lot tighter

thats what i would do since i dont want a fully locked diff, this just seems like a major pain in the ass to do, especially without the right tools

yeah but welding a diff, all you gotta do is remove the cover, clean, weld and put the coverback on. No taking off output shafts, taking out the diff, etc.

shimming your Diff isn't a bad idea. IT was an idea in my mind but that was it since im already welded. Someone in zilvia has been running a shimmed diff for a month and still locking. good enough testimonial for me lol
