now we all know ka timing chains make some noise but its nothing seriouse, up until last night my chain made little to no noise, but now it makes almost like a chearp noise, a squeal if you will..

has anybody experienced this if so any insight would be helpful

thanks in advance.

nick dosnt smoke LMAO

remove the timing chain guides if they are still in there and make sure your shit is tight.

i will be ripping it apart on wednesday, i was starting to think it was a bearing going bad on a pully but i swear it is coming from the top of the chain..

but even if my tensioner was shot it shouldnt squeak :(

that shit should rattle but no squeek..

this is what mine looked on a 240 i had ages ago.

mirror finish yo!

theres nothing really to elaberate you just look for scaring on the cams or you can remove the valve covor and start the bitch and see whats making the noise but its gonna shoot oil every where.

well i dont feel like cleaning that up haha, so if the oil wasnt getting up there i assume its from lack of preasure do to the pump or a clog some where ?

just crank the engine with the oil cap off , and have someone look inside to see if oil is dripping.. (with a flashlight) or vice versa (someone cranks while the other one checks)

put wd40 on the alternater and it quit squeaking :D stupid me but i need to grease it up properly or just change out the bearing
