Bill Sherman?s Enjuku V8 240sx Ready for Formula D Atlanta [SNAPSHOTS]

something is absolutely wrong besides the cam. my car on stock cam was fine, and the camino on stock everything, including manifolds was fine.

there are thousands of people running magnusons with a stock cam and making good power from 1800rpm to redline. someone screwed something up.

so tell me what you believe to be wrong?

different years of ls1s have different cams, like i was telling you in the pits adam, the later years have more overlap for egr purposes causing boost to bleed off through the exhaust. its common that ppl upgrade cams at the same time as a charger so no one ever really sees that issue.

in 2001 ls1s did away with egr tubing and added a more overlap cam. and if i remember correctly, you told me the motor was an 01..

2+2=4 i told Ken to hire me

also, depending on the magnuson blower, it is also common for peak power to be around 4,5k to 5k and just start falling off from there...

i have a blower that will never peak it goes alll night long!!!!

lol

Bill needs to turn down the suck!

BTW I'm havin Bill's second baby.

I cant wait to see him run that car at full potential, he's gonna own FD :bigthumbu

from watching in person you could tell the car was fighting back. sucks for bill but he has only had like a total of 6 minutes in the car. really wanted to see it rip in person, doubt ill be at any other FD this year lol.

not trying to be mean but sounds like user error, and i really cant find any sound logic at all behind blaming the incompatibility of the blower/stock cam when they were designed to work together....

but if you are so confident in your diagnosis as to the magnuson blower (keeping in mind magnuson does r&d for oem's) and their engineer's lack of ability to make it work with the stock camshaft the kits are designed for post up on http://ls1tech.com/forums/

here is what a maggie dyno should like like when installed/tuned/setup properly

since yall threw this car together in weeks, i'd suggest double checking and making sure everything is working/installed properly.

can you give me a dyno sheet that shows RPMs?

It looks like somebody made that dyno sheet in microsoft paint.

1. RPMs will never be that linear.

2. It doesn't show what RPMs the engine is at, just that they are increasing. (for all we know, that sheet could be ending right at 5k RPMs where the power starts falling off)

3. That's the rockiest boost line I've ever seen.

4. Same as #3, only the Secondary AFR

5. There are no actual AFR #s...

This whole dyno chart looks like Bullshit, anyone else agree?
