I'm in the process of getting all my steering stuff in check.

-new steering rack bushings

-new outer tie rod ends

-new bellows

Here's my question: Is it necessary to replace the inner tie rods? If they're not bent then what's the point?

Thanks in advance.

+1.
aftermarket ones are beefier. and you can run a spacer for more angle if youd like.

^That! Your alot less likely to bend them with more beefier ones. Last tandemonium barefootdrifter bent his tie rod with all that camber and angle he had lol.

Yeah I know but I'm on a budget atm so aftermarket ones are out of the question. My question is, for maintenance purposes, their is no reason so replace them unless they are BENT right?

^^^ or if they have play snookums. I got a reman rack in my car cuz my inners had play (no they weren't loose) but I also put a spacer on it when I put it in. (On stock inners)

ES steering rack bushings - $30
Ebay bellows - $10
Tein inner and outer tie rods - $160

Done, never haveto touch it again.

Just save up some cash and get some Megan inner and outers and new boots. Also rack bushings and new flca's my steering feels amazing now that I did all that also the Megan inner tie rods already have the angle spacer machined into it so your killing two birds with one stone there

megan are not worth the almost 200 you will spend on them pbm inners are only $75 then just run tien or oem outers if you are going to be dropping what the megans cost spend a little more and get something that will actually last like spl
