Since my car is down until the LS1 swap is done, my friend Marshall trusted me with drifting his baby. At the end, a coupler on the hot side of the intercooler piping blew off but was luckily an easy fix. Awesome car, Marshall! YouTube- Drifting Marshall's S14 @ CFRC 11/13/09

What competition format do you think you'll use for this event? I'm wondering if the format would cater to people that may share a car for the competition. Are we gonna have head to head elimination runs or just scored qualifying runs to decide who wins? Thanks, --Alex

Bearcat, he let me dorifto his car until the intercooler piping coupler blew off. I destroyed a rod bearing in the KA in my red hatchback, so its sitting until my LS1 is finished. I didn't see any sparks shooting from the exhaust, maybe from the delaminated tires? I love that car, extremely well...

Haha guess my KA was just too tired to be up to that task. I had some pretty extreme alignment settings to make 100 hp slippery (rear - 3.5 neg camber, .5 toe out), doesn't matter now though. My poor little KA couldn't take anymore abuse, so it's sitting until I do the swap.

The $8 Grant steering wheel hub from Advanced Discount. Changed it in the parking lot @ Desoto because my old steering wheel's rubber was flaking off in chunks.

There is no way they would allow that. Simply put, no insurance company could be okay with that. Minimum age to do anything at Gainesville Raceway is 16 with parents there to fill out a minor waiver form. We have Jr. Dragsters, but that's totally different.

Shift's drift mode really disappointed me.... not only is it totally unrealistic and weird with the steering wheel controller, you can't drift on the track with other people! Grid's drift mode was awesome, but you couldn't really do much with the cars and tuning. Forza 3 finally nailed it - tune...

Thanks for the compliments. Gotta love the $30 grant steering wheel. Flatline, I'm pretty sure its physically impossible to drift Desoto's entire bank with a 100 hp, even on delaminated tires. The infield is totally awesome for underpowered cars, but the banks need at least 250 hp and full...
