i want to OEM rebuild the bad motor i have right now and boost it. and i know that with a good tune i can easily have 220 hp. and im satisfied with that. but how would i find out whats wrong with the bad motor i have on right now.

i have a motor in my car right now, but i bought it and the kid said something about the crank needing to be taken to a machine shop. but the motor has high milage and dont want to put it trought the abuse, rather get lower milage motor and be safe. so i would have all the accesories to go on...
