if it has a vlsd there should be an orange sticker in the back plate. dose your car has abs all abs equipet s13's have vlsd.
also how do you know you have lsd or vlsd by just driving? did you see 2 tire marks on the floor?
thats weird +28 with a 10mm spacer and the wheel won't clear the calipers? that stange. they all look almost the same but i guess in your case every mm counts.
mine may not be new but hey if you want i can rebuild them and then we can trade..
i don't get what your trying to do.
are you trying to keep stock se s13 wheels? if so why don't you just run spacers?
if its such a big deal i'll trade you my 26mm for your 30mm.;)
the rears are 2 pistons...
you need the whole e-brake assymbaly from a 300zx. it dosen't matter if it's turbo or non-turbo. you need more then just line to make it work.
this is a good write up that helped me.
The Definitive 300ZX Brake Swap!
also if your going to do them all...
the only thing that could go wrong with the caliper is the o rings on the cylinder went bad. that would mean that you would need to re-build them.
if you look at your brakes you can see if all the pistions are extending.
That you would have to ask the shop you buy the motor from but remember that they make s13, s14 and s15 black tops. the newer years are the more expensive ones.
just go with some nice stance coilovers it's a "bang for you buck". unless you really heavyely track your car edfc is useless and a waste of money to you.
the factory temp gauge is a POS you should run an aftermarket one. if you want to know if the themostat was the problem you could do the boiling water thing. It would give you some peace of mind..
the reasson they told you to put it in boiling water was to check if it's working. if it opens it mean's that its working. but if you check it you might as well change it since it's a cheap part.
