Seriously if you took the color out of #6 entirely it would still be in the same place as it is now and you know it. In my opinion I like it because it looks like one of those old ass film b&w photos from like the '40s/'50s.
and #2 Cliche? Most of the people that I talk to about the contest say they have never seen it. I've only seen it once before, maybe you guys are on flickr all day or something but I'm not and I don't get where you see that concept soo much as to call it cliche.
I'm glad to see that there are more entries this time and hopefully more in the following, but no one is going to want to participate if you guys are just going to hate. let the voters be the judge of the pictures and if you feel like you were robbed of a vote put a little more effort into the next contest.

i dont browse flickr all day, and its a common trick to put a ring or something that is circle in the middle of a book to cast a heart shaped shadow.
and for the other picture, its a black and white contest, not a sephia contest, and i never said the picture isnt good, i voted for it

lets just get on with this contest. if its up for voting it passes all criteria of the contest. thats basically how the SP contest went with all the photoshopping.
if the photos dont make it to voting they either got sent back to be fixed or they never made it at deadline.

Well even if people didn't know how to look up other people's picture it sure went out the window when #7 gave up her entry.

Guy, its exceptionally hard to be original in photography. Its been around forever so its going to be hard to put out your own idea, just think you did and call it a day. If people can't say why they didn't vote on a picture then whats the point. I somewhat see this as a critique. People give their input on the pictures they voted for. I was going to go down the list with every picture but decided not to.
ps stop getting butt hurt about people using photoshop to whatever extent they want to. If you don't think your skills are up to par work at it. This is just fun.
