As for what car you should get, I'd say get an S14, do suspension, LSD, maybe a bucket seat, and start practicing. S14s are very easy to learn to drift in. Now, don't think just because you have an S14, you are now the drift king. Drifting is still hard to do no matter what car you drive. lol.

about the s14...buy it if you want to learn easily. For more challenging cars, (depending on your preference) purchase a car with a shorter wheel base, ie. Miata, Ae86, etc..

Yeah I remember that, it was also a wet track so that helps. I believe he went up against Ueo in Tsuzkuba in that same year. The guys name is H. Takahashi, the brownish 86 right? It's crazy to see how far he got with basically just suspension mods, gives me hope :D .

Are you sure it was 145whp? It's pretty close either way but I remember hearing 160ps somewhere for John's 86. His a guy to look out for in the future, a good driver thats getting better fast. He's a cool guy to, he helped me out when I first started off with the 86.
 
^ Yeah I saw john in person at the FD Proam nats and yes he is Nasty! he is full throttle no lift monster he hit the wall in like full on 3rd gear rolled the car they tipped it back on its wheels and he continued to drive
 
Threads like this one make me wanna poke my eyes out. Power is not everything, my Ka is putting a decent power for NA and it slides beautifully.

i want da additional power just because the car is also my daily driver i like to go fast lol doesnt everybody???
