As a community with a lack of places to legally drift, we are willing to listen to any ideas. However we just want to make sure that he knows about all the issues of holding an event, the same issues that have been plaguing us from having one since Hialeah Speedway closed.
I've been following his thread from another forum and it just doesnt seem like he is up to date with the issues that Jose (DhSil80) pointed out, which is already obvious to most of us here.
I am glad that his approach on this forum has been a lot more friendly than the other one. I am all for promoting legal drifting, however I want to see an idea that is actually feasible.

Ricky, you seem like you have good intentions however South Florida is plagued with two main issues:
1-) Since Hialeah Speedway closed, there are not many tracks that are willing to recieve drifters with open hands. The cost of renting any remaining tracks nearby, such as Homestead or Moroso, are beyond anything considered affordable to an average drifter.
2-) South Florida seems to have a lot greater issue with money than other places. Ter-Tech has promoted a lot of events and they had to cancel some of them already because they could never get enough people to sign up on time for the events, and they would always extend deadlines to help a fellow drifter.
Now, if you have ideas to come around those 2 problems, I'll be glad to hear it.... because like I said, I would love to be able to drift someplace nearby and not have to drive a couple hundred miles for a drift event.
