help building all motor 240

ok guys im kinda new with this tech stuff so ill keep it simple.
i wanna build an all motor 240... yes with the ka.
so anyone with i deas on how i can milk 200 hp(more than that will be great)
with a 4-5k budget on the parts (including clutch, radiator, flywheeel, headers, etc) and install will be greatly apreciated.
i already know people will say: why?! just get an sr, or this and that.
i don't want a turbo. thats it thats that. i want NA all the way.
a price list for parts and install will be great too
thank u

you cant ,,., not for that price atleast, unless you go nitrous. that is the only way u will pass 200hp for the most reliable amount of time without turbo. 4-5k can buy you a rb20 or a sr20 or a ca18. get one of those instead. all motor ka's are cool but not cheap.......atall..... and 4-5k is cheap. unless you know ppl who owe you favors.

new head, ported and polished, flywheel, clutch, lightweight drive shaft, underdrive pulley, no a/c, no power steering, flex-a-lite fans, koyo radiator, pistons, rods, fully built valve train, cams, headers, exhaust, real cold air intake, custom intake manifold, bigger throttle body (q45), tuned ecu.

you get what you pay for.

Im on teh same path. But Im a baby so Ill bottle feed and look for closer to ~225+.

Pistons, Rods, Cams, Headers, Custom intake and possilbly manifold, Big Throttle body, ligth weight clutch and flywheel, 100-125 shot wet Direct. ... Im still doing research tho.

the only problem is that the market for all motor ka's is very limited. It's not like building an all motor honda motor. There are parts availible but you're limited.

Anyway, with 2.4 liters it's not too hard. get rid of p.s. and ac (free), You could do the single cam pistons(higher compression) with stock rods, get a set of cams (talk to a company for your needs -not too crazy, you dont want to rev to 9 grand with stock bottom end to get power- just a little above the redline), straight piping, lightened flywheel. This is far less than 4 grand, however you probably wont get 200 hp to the wheels. You might get 200 to the flywheel.

The ONLY reason why you want to stay n/a is probly cause you watched the BMI "battles at 10,000 RPM's" LMAO

I dont think YOU can get 200whp out of an n/a KA, it looks like you dont even know how an engine works, if you did then you would already have answered your questions.

I love my KA and I think I can get 200 crank hp easy.... if you want 200whp n/a buy this:

use single cam pistons to boost compresson on a twin cam block to 12:1 and u should be at 170 180whp then cams and all the other goodies u should reach 200 without any problums but over 200 good luck

^do you honestly think that boosting the CR from 9:5:1 to 12:1 is going to give you 40-50 WHP? btw using the single cam pistons would only go up to 11:1, also why use those pistons you can get RACING forged pistons built to your CR liking.

Building a high reving KA could be nice(think Nascar Short stroke high revving motor ::SKEET::), but would that defeat its sole purpose? Torque? It you want power from a KA and to rev high you need a BUILT BOTTOM END! Knife Edged Crank, Shot Peen Lightened Rods, High compression pistons.

Personally I'd love to do that set up. But In reality I can buy an RB25 Install it and make more power out of the box.

If you ask me Id rather build the motor from teh Old School skyline in teh BMI video the NA ITB one. OMG T3H SEX

My all motor setup up IF I decide to do it would be:
Cams -TBA
Knife Edged Crank
Rods
Pistons(11:1 or 11.5:1)
Balanced bottom end
ITB Kit
Headers
Cat Back Exhaust
Light Flywheel
and 100 - 150 shot of teh good stuff.

Don't forget the aluminum underdrive pulley. ;)

enough people have contributed information to this thread, this task isnt as easy as following someone instructions. If you have to ask, you dont know enough to go through with it. There is so much more then just buying parts for your car and slapping it in. No one has said anything about engine management.

and you want this everyday on 93 octane.... lol

i dont think you'll see much power gain with ITBs on the ka.. all though it does look and sound scarey

you will be better off w\ a properly built intake manifold then just cutting the upper apart and slapping on some gsxr1000 itbs on.

^ he is correct, its part of those other things that require math to figure out that only the engine builder will do. ;)

From what I understand rasing the engine's CR will give you 10-15 hp per number you go up. I say 11:1 CR should be good for 20-30 hp max.

But in my opinion going N/A is for Hondas :vomit:

Drop in an LS1. Less weight, more than double the power, and loads of torque. That means you will need a good LSD for good, I mean, better traction.

Yeah buttttttt, with 5psi my KA makes more then a stock SR @ 7psi..... 5psi 200whpish>7psi180whpish @7psi a KA-T makes around 250whpish hehehehehe. Also That I know of a KA can handle 300-350whp ( T3/T4, 12psi and a really really good tune) daily driven no problem just checkout KA-T.org. Oh and a custom turbo setup shouldn't run you more then $2500 with used parts that is.

NO KA vs SR WAR B!TCHES THE FIRST ONE TO START SOMETHING WILL SMELL MY FARTS RIGHT AFTER I EAT EGGS MUHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
