help building all motor 240

SR! KA's are unreliable for boost especially when a turbo is just slapped on it... but w.e. No WAR! Just my 2 Cents

BTW ive got 2MILLION RWHP(thats what it said on Ebay) with some new stickers i got BEAT THAT! HA! F&F Tokyo DRIFT Special!! lol

event though i am a KA lover i have to agree with you they are unreliable when you just go out buy a turbo and slap it on. but if you do your research and know what you are doing it will last longfer

Yeah just ask Miami240 aka Angel he was running a stock block KA 10psi 348whp daily, and when he would race he would he would run 12psi and 402whp. Believe me he really beat that car to sh!t and the only thing he messed up was the tranny...... yeah he went through 2 trannys in the spand of 3months. I say KA-T not as reliabe as an SR but fu ck it the day an SR guy screaws up his engine or tranny he's stuck. The day I mess up mine, ill just hit the good ol junkyard and swap in another for a fraction of the cost of an SR. :laugh:

Sooooooo I have a 1969 super duper D1 special Honda S2000 with super drifto button. Yeah.... I have the first S2000 honda ever made :D :laugh: :bigthumbu

hahahhahaha.. you say that now. I remember when KA's cost only 50$ now they are up to $450.00 and **** stock with over 100k miles. I would start getting the N/A SR20DE's I dont knokw what people are thinking. Best motor EVER..

Screaw drifting it, he raised the boost up to 16psi and made around 460whp on a stock block and was taking the car to moroso race track 3times a week for like 2 months str8 and raced his car there. He ran 11.02 1/4 mile with it. The car ran like a dream after all that abuse. Think about it he lives in lil havana so that's like an hour and a half of driving. Get there race on the track then drive back home. Thats about as much abuse I would need to make sure my engine can take boost daily.


Remember pro drifters rebuild their SR's to drift anything over 350whp so at the end you have to rebuild both engines. At the end they're both good engines on boost, its a proven fact not an opinion (thats why you have a website like ka-t.org). Now if you go Comando and over boost any engine with bad tunning both engines will go boom.


I tell you one thing, im going to buy an S14 and I will do an SR swap just cuz I like both engines. Both are Nissan engines and in my opinion neither is better then the other.

dont know if its been said or not cause i was too lazy to read but i know those people that drop in ka's into datsun 510's and stuff have like 200hp+ all motor. if they could do it im sure someone else can aswell. but i have no clue how the hell they do it. i know cams help a ka out alot. ive heard great things about KA with jwt cams and stuff. you could also try those single cam pistons to bump the compression up to 11.?.1

No.... EGR is only active in part throttle cruiseing it does not open when you need power so therfore you just remove it to reduce weight :)


Ohh and check this motor out it is a KA singlecam and it puts down 174rwhp so a duelcam shouldn't have to much trouble hitting that thats pretty close to 200hp at the crank.

Like an asshole everyone has thier own opinion lol. Signal Auto fully built thier twin drift cars and they were only running 375 crank hp. You drive an AE86 so your opinion is diffrent then any SR or KA-T owners opinion. In Japan you need 400+ hp to drift in the pro level unless you drive an AE86, but remember one thing an 86 only weighs 2000 pounds stock so 190 hp on your is the same as me having 350 on my car with it's factory weight. Thats the reason an AE86 is such a good drift car, it's like a RWD CRX. :rolleyes:


P.S Why do you think you never see a 200hp pro drift car(other then an 86)? Why do you think that there has not been a D1 champ that was running a car with factory boost???????? Yeah I know Ueo did it in a 190hp AE86 but do the math power-weight it was the equivalante to having a 350hp silvia. :rolleyes:



It's Not about needing 350+ hp it's about reliability :p
