help choosing. SR/KA

^your so wrong. just because one person did it does not mean the same for all theres plenty of people that buy sr's and something goes wrong a month later. it all depends. anything can happen to any motor.

Not another ka vs sr thread. Why do these just keep haunting us. Dude you already know what to do. Just ask me duhh!! This some pointless shit. :lockd:

lol. ive been looking at a couple of factors.
-ease
-reliability
-cost
-can it take the beating
-aftermarket

ease - motor is already in the car ready to go.
reliability - do it right and yes it will be
cost - you only get what you pay for
can it take the beating - done right yes
aftermarket - there is plenty of companies making stuff for the ka. go on ka-t.org for more info

^ there are KA's far over 1000hp now...

There are a few Ka-ts 4-500 on STOCK internals with headgaskets, and they take a serious beating.

Dr. Drift's white s14 zenki has a sohc ka-t with 320ishwhp almost 400tq, and no issues to date/

its all about tune like mcnasty had said earlier talk to red, alex or even hot carl they'll tell you how it is

back.
i was looking into enthalpy ecu's.
but damn the sr sounds so easy lol. stock ecu.
the only thing i dont want is not to have torque.

enthalpy's run about 500 bucks but if your only doing a little setup at say 7psi just go with a safc or mega squirt

id prob do a t25. even though i know the ka's put out alot more cfm's than a t25 should take. i read that somewhere online. hmmm.

i dono i have been thinking the same thing u have and honestly i would go SR saying its factory turboed and can handel the forced induction i dont care what people say i have seen KAs pop with little bolt ons if i ever did and KAT and cared about it and wanted to do it right i would build the whole motor first but thats out of the price range for the money i would either do SR or RB
