Marking Of Drift Cars At Events Not Coming Off

paint is stupid as shit. have someone with a two way radio and someone under the tent with a list. shoe polish a number on a car

"car 5 on the line"
"car 8 on the line"
"car 187 on the line" "car 187 is out of runs" "gtfo car 187"

think a little bit more people. I would have bitchslapped that kid if he painted my bumper.
 
agreed. i went through hell rubbin them red dots off but it came out alright w/ my black paint.

Solution.
Keep in on the windshield and try to use sometheling a little cheaper next time.

Better yet.
Get a sticker with numberings on them. Every time you come up to the line, cross one off. At the end of the day you can just peel it off. Compact and easy. Maybe all you need to mark is the Run Group.

I saw the idea of the blue tape and mark each pass on the tape.
 
look i agree that da markin on da cars whith red paint is wack and we have 2 fix that. i agree but what i think is stupid is makin a thread on it everybody that drift at daevent knows da people that run it(4FREE) and could talk 2 them like an adult instead of makin a thread about it so if anyone ever has somthin 2 say let us know first and we would take care of it then if it doesnt work out u could act childish like make a thread about it but come on guys i think DRITSESSIONS diserves da respect we do this 4 u guys n dont make a dime....
 
^well some people are taking it the wrong way... this a thread for sugestions to an answer . i think the painters tape and mark it on top of it is the best of all .. since it doesnt matter what paint you got painters tape doesnt leave residue.. Do'h that's how the paint lol :) .. so a roll of Wide painters tape will work just fine.. :) and i will look for one i have (must be lying around lol ) while i try to finish the car for today :) so no problem with that !! everybody happpy!!!! :)
 
wow i understand that it would be more adult like to suggest this in person and what not, but bashing people who are trying to suggest a valid option to the method is just fucked up... like a bad president people will start to lose respect if their voice stands ignored. I agree that drift sessions is doing alot for us drifters and they are not making shit from it but dont give people shit for ideas of improvements. Its not like improvements will be a bad thing.... just my 2 cents

Yea man, I don't slide. But barely UNremovable RED dots on my car would not make me happy. But let me tell you why it makes me upset.........where is the LOGIC in putting the dots on the bumper cause the rain was washing it off the glass??????? You haven't seen what they do even to glass when that stuff drys up!!!! This thread had to pop up sooner or later, I heard people talking about this for a while now!!!! Next time, use the part of the brain that NEVER FAILS......FLAWLESS LOGIC!

i think u need 2 chill whith da insalts if their is somthing stupid u need 2 say then dont say it at all........no one is trying 2 be rude i said i agree whith no red dots on bumbers i just think it wuz aproched da wrong way.........and if u dont slide i think u dont have 2 worry about it............
 
The best way to deal with this now, is to bring your own method of protecting your car. Until an agreement is made, just tape up a section of a window and put the markings on there. That's the best option you have for now. IMO

All of us, as car owners, don't want anyone to mess up our cars. The marker paint was not intentional. It was mentioned before, in this thread, it was a quick solution to the paint running off the window. There was no intention on actually staining the paint, it was a mistake. So please, stop acting like this was intentionally done and stop bashing on the guys that run these events. The guys that run these events; plan and organize a safe, fun environment for YOU to slide in. They also provide a tire changer, concessions, EMS services, a spectating area, a pit area, and even find instructors to volunteer at the events. It takes a very intelligent person to be able to plan this and execute it propery. And some of you guys are bashing on them for some marker stains? No common sense? For all I know they could tell all of you to go fuck yourselves and cancel the events, or even just make it a private ordeal, leaving all of us out, for the level of disrepect and name calling that has been shown. Give them a break...


And I don't see why you don't understand the fact that you have to protect your car at the event. People lock their cars/install alarms to prevent theft. At the shopping mall, people park all the way in the back so that stupid idiot won't hit you with their door, or shopping cart. You lock your doors when you are in your own driveway. Some people even garage their cars to protect it from the weather. You have to protect your car everywhere you go, what's different about this? The track doesn't have to do anything or change any of it's methods. Most likely they will try to come up with a solution, but they don't even have to bother listening if they didn't want to IMO. This thread will not carry on any further if people keep writing their frustrations. Just find a way for you to get around this, and talk to the guys (preferably in person or by PM) about this. Done...
