More negative camber in the front with coilovers?

Bleak

Driver
I have Tein super drift coils on my car. I've had some camber problems recently and overlooked the fact that my coils have camber plates on the front like so:

I'm not sure if there are any modifications I can do to get it done but how my coilovers sit at the moment I can only go from 0 camber in the front to disgusting positive.. The washer-type lock in the middle surrounding the dampener stops me from going further even if I remove one of the allen key bolts that slide and tighten.

I wanted some suggestions from people that have the coils, like Jerry but if you guys know any helpful info LMK..

Thanks.

sound like ur shit is backwards or something...... you should be able get neg camber...realize the wheels have to be off the ground to adjust it

Wow, for all of you to be super pro mechanics and pro drifters with tons of camber.. None of you know this? Especially, ya tu sabes.. You know EVERYTHING man! LOLOL

Are these s13 or s14 coilovers? I dont know what you drive.

S13's have adjustable lower mounts, so you can get more negative camber. Most s14 coilovers do not have this feathure, but any machine shop can do it in a matter of minutes.

Here is a picture of a s13 lower mount

as opposed to a s14 mount, that the top hole is not slotted(adjustable).

if your coil overs are already slotted, adjust your camber there. If not, remove them, have them machined and then adjust them there.

I don't understand the problem, are you saying that you are so low that you can't get back to a reasonable camber like -1.5 to 0, or that you want more negative camber like -3+? If you want more it is b/c you aren't low enough, drop it like its hot.

Hes saying that he cant get negative camber from the tophat/camber plate. It will max at ~0* and only go more positive than that. Don't know why, but hey I gave him a solution.

i honestly think he tried to adjust the camber with the front wheels on the ground....lol

The car was jacked up when I tried it.. I just dont think they are installed right if what jerry said was true. Thanks a lot Omar! haha. I'm gonna check it out.

with thte ring maxed out to the end its 3.5 degrees negative... how much more do you need?
It's not getting to 3.5 neg thats the thing. It stops barely at 0. Also ontop of that both sides are uneven. So maybe one side does hit 3.5 neg but as far as I know, the side I had problems with that a lot of people pointed out @ the skidpad on the 24'th is being teh gay.

I have to admit tho, this is a pretty cool idea:

Check out my post, if yours are already slotted and someone installed them un even it could cause the camber plates to be un even. And could make it all fucked up. But some bent shit could do the same.

i had tiens and they gave me also some problems
take some pics to see your specific problem
but i ended up notching the shock tower similar to that picture posted, but because i wanted more than 3* camber, mine went to 2.8* max and on one side and 2.5* on the other
get a piece of wood , that would bolt on where your shocks go, then get a 4 inch hole saw , use the wood to keep the center bit alighned and cut that half moon out with out cuting out the the bolt hole
easy job to do and kind of cheap but needs pacience
hope that helps

i didnt touch mine. they are the way i bought then which is about right in the middle and i got neg camber. im sure i can get more if i wanted to
