yea but then when i need another shell i wont be able to find one, its hard enough as it is already for a brotha :(

Whatever, maybe its old new to you people but I just saw the preview and I knew about the movie mouths ago but now is when I saw the preview.

Sucks for the 240 people. But for us Corolla guys, we are gonna be saved, because ricers don't like old cars (or older in this case). Sucks for you. Don't worry, I love the 240s too.

dont be so sure about that! everyone will eventually see drifting, see initial d, watch it, think that if they own a hachi they will have takumis drifting godlike abilities. hence the hachi will be rarer than it is now.

lets just hope their as stupid as we all take them for and e-brake every corner...that will be funny...

I know that I would be safe because I doubt the rice comunity would consider a domestic to do a Jap sport :D I still love the jap cars though.

acutally, if i heard right, the final touge scene in the movie has the main character going Initial D in a '70-something fastback Mustang...be prepared...

I like the idea though. It's a newer more reliable engine.

But I'd drop an SR in my e30 so I guess you cant exactly call me a purist.

(Still loves his turbo 2.5l that never works)

This movie ought to be interesting... and even more interesing would be the ricer revolution after the movie.

I dont think there's much more to evolve really. If there will be some problem, it wont last more than a week. Unlike street racing, these guys will mess up their cars AND be credited for racing (which by the way, you can get a racing ticket for sliding, even if it's by yourself). The worst case scenario is that a week after the movie comes out there will be 1000 kids wishing they never saw the movie and 1000 cars in the junkyard. The rest will have realized that the cops are probably aware of the movie coming out and that they are ready to bust anyone in sight.

Ever since the first movie, laws got extremely strict on street racing, and it's unlikely that even 10% of the people who left the mall racing left and right would try to be sliding around.

My advice? Park somewhere safe.... dont need anyone *** dragging into your car.

i know this for a fact. a buddy of mine was taking a turn in his 240 (normally, not sliding) and a civic cut him off, so he actually had to accel. a bit to avoid him. his tire chirped a lil bit, and a FHP moto-cop pulled us over and gave him a ticket for racing and "excessive showing of speed". I guess the cop saw a 240 spinning his tires and a civic being a ****, and he figured racing...sucked for my friend...misdemeanor criminal charge for someone cutting him off and his car being RWD

Thats what scares me, The whole riced up 240sx has been around for a while, But i dont get stopped much whne i am on my drift car, but I have a feeling this will change, and everywhere i go i will have a cop on my ***.

My solution was to pick up a cheap daily driver.... something that doesnt call attention. But I agree... there isn't much room to spare yourself from a police officer's harassment. The image your car gives away just makes his opinion even more biased.
