The next time someone complains about an event cost...

That is the normal event. All of our events are like that, and 5 or so of them are MWC events, charge 30 bux more to compete, to qualify to get your invite to proam. These are the "practice events" that are had in the midwest. My point is that here in Florida, u get to practice all u want, granted its a parking lot event, its 25 or 30 bux. and u get to drive all day. OR, I'm going to pay 100 dollars this weekend, for TWO FULL DAYS of driving...where as in tha midwest, $130-$185 gets u one day.
Its less expensive here, its more often, the season goes all year round...everyone should be loving it
that is all

florida needs this convo!!!

a friend of mine just recently hit his first event and was complaining about the 25 to drift... he was like why was it 35 bucks thats insanely expensive, i said dude you also paid for me and a buddy to spectate... lol, people down here have gotten so used to the idea of $2000 240's and $25 drift days that we are completely out of touch with the rest of the u.s. i dont know and my opinion may be skewed but i dont see many people in (sfl anyway) taking drifting seriously, just a sunday event here and there... people complained their asses off when big track at countyline went to 50 there is like 3 pages of it somewhere... anyway im no big shot and probably dont have a place in here but im just saying from another point of view. if my car was running i would for sure be at that miami gp but i just cant seem to get a job right now, being in school this coming semester, and moving to a new house my car is my last priority right now. maybe in a year or so when i can find a steady good paying job with my degree i will give drifting a REAL SHOT! anyway thanks for reading and keeping it real with sfl peeps.

i'm not registered yet, but I will be driving...I am just trying to source tires...i usually run 225s on my ten inch rims, but since my relocation to ft myers, i have no one that can actually seat tha bead. sooooo, i'm lookin for some 235s, but cannot find any =(

got a good friend with a tire shop in ft. myers. he can do anything.

business name is precision fit, name is Mike.

95% of this forum is d bags from miami that low ball the shit out of you anyways so what makes you think they will actually spend money to drive. I remember back in 06 when the event would be full in like 15 mins of reg opening with no complaints about cost from anyone. now all these newbs are on here bitching about how they need a helmet or fire suit or a roll cage to drive. its upserd.

oh if your from miami and take offense to this then your part of the 95%.

i might be forking out the money to slide this event if i can get a new turbo by then! taking donations, need a teeny tiny turbo for my bmw :D

yeah its like people in Myrtle were complaining about paying 75 bucks for events that have cash payout for the top three placers.

No matter where you go you'll have those people who complain about the price of stuff and cant appreciate the work that goes into getting venues and setting events up.

Just wondering if every one is bitching about ppl bitching about event prices then how come there r only 3 ppl registered to Miami gp?

only 3 people... wow, if i thought my car would run i would register but with the move and school it will not run for sure...

i'll be registering this evening, just got my tire situation in order =). But 3 people huh? Shits pretty weak. Oh well, more seat time for me =)
