How many people slide with open diff???

i drifted on the street a few nights ago with a open diff and auto tranny its not really fun you can do it.

Well I took the diff out today so I can weld
the bitch up :D
I drive slow in the rain anyways in this little ass
car.

make shure that if you do weld your diff,
you do not.
i repeat. DO NOT><
get on the highway when is wet.
anything over 50mph. and ull wreck.
over 45 mph the smallest pothole, or smallest pond of water that hits one tire will make it loose it and therefore make the other one loose it.
and then is crash time.

i wrecked a 240 like 2 years ago,. just like that. so if you must. stop on the side and wait till it stops raining then drive like 40 with ur parking lights. on.

You remember when that happened. I told you:
"Why didn't you just park on the site till it stopped raining?"

Believe me dude. I know.:bigthumbu

BTW. Big shitz happening on Monday morning. I'll call u.:ugh:

lmfao are you kidding me? I drove the blueberry that i got from dan all the way from Miami back to Naples across the alley in the rain on a welded dif...just dont suck at driving and youll do just fine :bigthumbu

I did it for 2 years

this was open, was able to slide all the way around the inside of OSW several times just had to enter at like 65mph

..i have that same car..did you finally choose to weld it? and if u do, would u have to drive slowly ALL the time even when it doesnt rain?Like is it really that bad?

Nah It wasnt my car. That was my buddy Dan's car I drove it at 2 events, Other than that hadn't driven the car at all. So no i never welded it or anything. I think the Z31 is the easiest car to slide Open diff i've ever driven.

I can pretty much slide any car I jump into (maybe not very consistently) but once you learn the basics well its not that hard.

you dont have to drive slow slow just know
that it would be more slide happy in turns :)

btw guys my diff is all welded up now so :bigthumbu

i c.. ill prbly just practice open some more before welding. i thnk i would learn more about my car that way

if you realy want to slide weld i drive full blast still in the rain its not that bad.

you were driving on 95 the other day by northlake right?
then on thursday night you were on blue heron my military too
i was in the red s13 hatch with the silvia front

i had a welded diff in my last 240 and in the rain i never had a problem driving unless i has bald tires on then its hard to keep the car straight

i used to rock open diff all the time, it really holds back, with a welded if you have an NA ka you'll notice a huge diff. Welded diff and Coilovers are prolly the best thing to do for drifting, + tie rods /w spacers imho

Also Right turns just need to practice them bro. just seems like right turns are harder with open cause the only right turns you take on the street are realy sharp 90 degree turns, if you had speed built up going right hand drifts are just as they are left in a sense.

Dont go over 50mph in the rain?! I've had welded diffs for 2 years, and I have never once spun out in the rain when I wasnt trying to slide. I dont understand why everyone says they're so dangerous in the rain.

i'ev had a welded diff 4 a year an half. whats dangerous about them. jus dont b a dam ass in the rain.

Try a welded with front mega towed out. I drove like that for a few months. In the rain on I95 you'll 4 wheel slide to different lanes out of nowhere.

daily driving on a welded diff??

can it actually be done? I'm sure some of you do, any advice or input... how about driving in the rain...
