s14 1996 ka in s13

k so im doing my swap tomorrow but it just crossed my mind that if s14s are obd2 and my s13 obd1, then i have to swap distributors, rite? if i have to swap distributers how would i go about getting the timing rite? new to this so dont flame, just help
 
are you serious. search on the interwebs plenty of info on this. but ill tell you anyway. you have to swap the manifolds and distributor. everything should plug right up as it would with an s13 ka after that. just search to see if there is anything else you need to do but i think thats it
 
but after i swap the distributor wont my timing be fucked? thats wat im worried about, and if it is how would i go about fixing the timing.

why would it be. its the same distributor except the coil is inside on the s14 motor. to swap it out all you have to do is pull the cap of and mark where the rotor is pointing (easier if you can mark it on the motor). pull the distributor out. if your mark was made on the motor just make sure the rotor lines up there on the s13 distributor. if you made a mark on the distributor than you have to compare the installed s13 one to get pretty close. then put all back together and fine tune

k thx thats all i was looking for, ima get started on the swap tomorrow and update if i run into any problems
 
just swap the bottom of the manifold and distributor and your good to go
using your s13 tranny ?
 
yea me and gabe did the dizzy yesterday and i have a rele good feeling it went in perfect, we swapped the intake manifold 2 but forgot about the gasket lol i got the gasket but since gabe is having ppl over at 7 we had to stop and clean up, should b done either tomorrow or monday depending on whether my parents let me go work on the car or not lol.
