Not entirely true. He didn't get lucky. He's done this before. Yes, the speed has to do with it, but there is more to it then just that. Steering angle, timing of brakes, gas and clutch all have to do with it, just as boxmod explained.
Thats exactly why I put both lucky and or timed it right, because of course he is in D1. It looked to good to be true, but of course he is a D1 driver so he planned it out and he has it on blue prints. Luck happens professionally and non, some will admit it some will say yea I knew what I was doing. Thats in the air, can he pull it off? I wouldn't doubt. My opinion is as stated before do to his speed it carried him far enough to make it happen, I also think you guys getting into how he held the steering wheel, how he sat on the seat, how his suspension was set and so on doesn't really go into play here. Kawabata went fast, kicked it out, had the wheel at full lock, and came out as you see.
