FARA DEMO on may 10th

Hey its going to be alot of seat time for these guys. This is my hopeful list
Kyle, Lowe, Eric, Pablo, Hasy,
"My really really hope so" list, Phill aerok, Ryan aerok, Estie, Dan, and gary
 
eh you know my situation, probation got me locked in broward county... blah best wishes to the drivers and big ups to spectators.
 
FFAAAAAAUK i'm stuck at the acura dealer lol maybe i'll still be able to go....things don't look good here..

This is the BLADDER on Squeak's name. Just to clarify, the entrance fee is $10 for spectators. Drifting will start at 3PM, so if you're thinking of coming down to the event, you still have time to make it. Other than that, theres nothing much else to report. Well, kleen555 pwned his rear bumper. Flatline Slider is having cooling issues. The FC guys from Sarasota are here. Erick Mahle just showed up right now as I am typing this. And it's freaking hot down here. I'll try to come back later to keep you guys posted as to whats going on.
 
The event ended on a sour note for me. But it was a personal issue. I really didn't like the fact that I was being lied to about an engine someone was running in their car. I guess the guy thought I was a n00b or something. :rolleyes:

About the event, some of the things that FAILED were:
- 30 minutes of practice time being cut off.
- Tire changes were $25-$30 per tire. Yes you read right, PER TIRE.
- The heat.

What was cool was:
- The racing.
- Hanging out with everyone.
- A/C on the second floor.

Yeah that really left a sour taste in my mouth. Considering that they were only mounted, not balanced, and took a total of 4 minutes for this guy to do both tires. I guess $30 a tire isn't an issue for most people that do the FARA events since most show up in $500,000 rigs and use Gallardo's as pit cars:rolleyes:.


Other then that I had a great tim in the morning. Me and Pablo with the track to ourselves for 30 minutes was worth it. Run after run after run. Homestead must not like my car though as it puts a curse on all my gaskets. Last time was my turbo gasket, this time was my w/g gasket. No boost=no drift=no fun. Oh well, maybe next time.

Huge thanks to Tim for busting his ass to put this on for us. Had a blast as usual, sorry I couldn't stay for the awards but I wanted to get on the road while there was still daylight out in case anything else broke on the drive home. That drive is not fun...
