^asking this question tells me you need an SR, building a KA-T isnt easy, but man oh man, when its working its NICE.

I had 2 5.0 mustangs, 2 iroc-z's...1 with an lt1 swap. Turbos can't be that hard right...Mechanics is nothing when it comes to boosting an engine that designed to run n/a. I went on ka-t.org and read for 3 whole months. I would literally stay up till 4 in the morning reading hundreds of posts. The funny thing is...right when you think you're prepared, you learn something totally new. I believe I've posted this like 3 times on sfldrifters...
GO ON KA-T.ORG....AND READ, like for 3 months straight. The ka-t is very fun. People are always going to say...sr>ka-t...The ka-t people are the ones who really know how the turbo charging thing works. Read...have fun...
 
yeah ive been reading up on the KA-T.ORG for a like a week now...its very interesting and sounds something i would like to do...i want to learn a lot more than i kno...and i think boosting my motor would be good...but i still got lots of reading to do. Thanks
 
For mild power (~250hp) you don't even need a rebuild if the engine is healthy. Some ka-t gurus are up to 400hp on stock, but they be gurus.

a daily driven ka-t and a track/street beaten ka-t are two completely different things, it could have 100k granny driving miles and not blow but soon as you ping 7200rpm for 4secs continuously every 5mins that shit gonna blow up unless you are rick lol then you just blow up the same motor 20x and come back with adamantium piston rings and shit on everyones setup (one day ricky one day!!) yah boi!
