Ka Question

well, how many KA-Ts have you SEEN drifting at events lol I think I've seen 4 ever that lasted more than 1 event

1 was The Bandit or w/e u call it from xat
1 was rick
1 was toyo tires guy i forgot his name
and 1 was idk who but i seen another gay-ay-t somewhere

everyone elses blew up or never leaves their driveways so they can say that they built a KA-T and it never blew up

if you build it, it will, or if you turbo it and drive it like grandma except for when you take it to the drag, for drifting, unless its built, dont plan on having it last more than 5 drift events if you are lucky lol
 
you basically need to build an entire engine with new parts to hold the abuse. for the money you will be spending to be "different" you could have thrown that money into a SR or RB swap and have more fun
 
bounce a fully tuned stock motor ka making good power off the limiter for 3 seconds a couple of consecutive times within a minuute....i myself have bown up 3 ka's....na's.....not even a turbo...dont really need anything to accelarate the already rapid lifespan of a ka....sr or ca all the way....and if u wanna go fast....2j...
 
Once I'm done with the rb20det for whatever reason I've got me eyes set on a 5.3l lm7(i think lm7...) from an avalanche...You should take a look at v8's they really arent too bad aslong as you have the space and time for the swap...
 
hehe...I just drove it right now for the first time...Whoohoo does that shit scream under boost. Not that shit sound I got from my ka-t. :bigthumbu
 
i wana boost my KA im not goin to go crazy and put lyk 20 psi lol....i just want some good power. i would swap but its more expensive and at the same time get more mods. id rather boost the KA.
 
I spent 1600 to boost my ka. Not including all the dumb shit I had to run and buy from discount...I sold that stuff for 1500, bought my rb shipped to my house for 1300. Spent about 700 bucks for intercooler, timing belt, water pump, 3 inch exhaust, battery, saudering stuff, tools, gauges...It wasn't that bad. I want a ka again sooner or later, with pistons and a holset...Look into holset turbos I had one...it's no joke... :ugh:

if your going to boost the ka and want to do it, do it right cause you wont be happy when you have to buy another motor and all that shit when you blow this one. by that point you will have spent the same amount of money then getting a sr or properly building a ka... or you could really man up and get a rb
 
well if purchasing sketchy engines and swapping them in every once in a while sounds appealing to you then turbo charging a ka is worth the money.
